2008 Graduation Information

Graduation is both a time of importance and celebration! Keeping this in mind, the information below was designed to help you plan accordingly to make the most of this special occasion. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Pam David, Activities Director, at 865-4646, ext 252.

WHAT IS EXPTECTED OF YOUR FOR GRADUATION:

All graduating seniors are expected to wear a cap and gown with the chosen accessories (medallions, collars, etc.) to participate in commencement ceremonies. Additionally ladies are to wear dresses not longer than their gown or nice dress pants. Men should wear dress shirts, ties and dress pants. All participants will wear nice shoes. No sandals, tennis shoes, flip flops, army boots, or jeans will be allowed.

ALL SENIORS MUST ATTEND BOTH THE HONORS PRACTICE AND HONORS ASSEMBLY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMENCEMENT EXERCISE.

Graduates are expected to wear full graduation attire for the Honors Assembly on May 15, 2008 at 6:30p.m. in the Los Lunas High School Gymnasium. The purpose of this assembly is to recognize your achievements at Los Lunas High School. Graduates and Robing designees should report to the cafeteria by no later than 5:45 p.m. as we will be marching in beginning at 6:15 p.m.

SENIOR DUES

Senior Dues are collected by the Class of 2008. Dues will be $20.00. The dues pay for the farewell party, senior flowers and senior gifts. Dues are due by April 15th. After this date, dues will be $40.00.

All Seniors need to fill out this form. This information (activities, sports, awards, honors, scholarships) will be listed in the awards program. All scholarship information listed on the form must include a copy of the award letter. Due to Ms. Saiz by no later than April 30th, by 2:30 p.m.

PARKING

Graduates will park in the upper parking lot at LLHS. All other guests will park at Katherine Gallegos in the designated parking area. Guests will be bussed to the football field from this parking area. Handicap accessible buses will be provided. Handicap parking will also be provided at the LLHS Swimming Pool (vehicles must display a Handicap placard). Please note, the bus lane on the west side of the school should be used as a drop off area. No cars will be permitted out of the student parking lot until after the graduation ceremony.

TICKETS

Each student will receive 6 tickets for their guests to sit on the field. Tickets will be distributed the day of robing practice, May 15, 2008.

May 16, 2008 Graduation Practice @ 8:30am (MANDATORY) Meet in the gym.

May 17, 2008 Graduation Ceremony @ 9:00am at LLHS. Graduates must report to the gym by 7:30am.
