Los Lunas Schools

Notice is hereby given that Position #3 of the Los Lunas Schools Board of Education has been vacated. The remaining members of the Board will fill this vacancy within 45 days from the date of vacancy (March 29, 2007) as per State Statute. The individual selected will fill the vacated term until the next regular school district election in February 2009.

Any registered qualified voter who resides in Board District #3 must submit the following documentation to the Office of the Superintendent, located at 119 Lunas Ave, Los Lunas, NM 87031 (865-9636) no later than noon on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 to be considered to fill the vacancy:

Verification by County Clerk that he/she resides in District #3;
Letter of interest including a narrative statement of the candidate's reasons for seeking the position and qualities or skills which he/she would bring to the Board which will serve the educational mission of the School District;
List of references (minimum 3);
Notarized statement that the individual has not been convicted of a felony; or a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude;
A statement of willingness to participate in a public interview process or public forum, which the School Board may call to additional information about the individual's credentials.
