Anti-Racism Portal
Students, families and community members can report school-based incidents of racial bias, racism, injustice or discrimination against anyone in a school setting by notifying the Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression Portal.
The New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) enhanced referral reporting website is designed to address race-based aggression in public and charter schools across the state. This online platform allows students, staff, and community members to safely and confidentially report incidents of racism, discrimination, and harassment occurring on school property.
The portal, part of the NMPED’s Black Education Act (BEA) Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression (ARAO) mandate, ensures that reports of race-based aggression are handled quickly and equitably. The Portal works as a neutral bridge that supports communication between districts, schools, students, and their families. It aims to promote a safer, more inclusive environment for all students, particularly those from historically marginalized groups.
