Student Calendar 2026-2027

The Los Lunas Schools Board of Education officially approved the student calendar for the 2026–2027 school year during its regular meeting on November 18, 2025. The Board voted unanimously to adopt the calendar, aligning their decision with the majority preference expressed by the community and district employees.
LLS District Report Card Released

Los Lunas Schools continues its dedicated pursuit of academic excellence, as evident by the recently released state school designations from the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED). This week's designations show that Los Lunas Schools maintained its status in the 2024-2025 school year from the previous school year, with several schools retaining the “Traditional” or “Spotlight” classifications, a testament to the district’s stable and focused educational environment.

Nationwide PowerSchool Data Breach
January 10, 2025
Los Lunas Schools has just been notified by PowerSchool, the district’s student information system, that they (PowerSchool) have encountered a significant nationwide cyber security incident. According to PowerSchool officials, the breach occurred in late December is contained, and there is no evidence of malware of continued unauthorized activity in the PowerSchool environment.
APE Renews Status as Apple Distinguished School

This prestigious designation highlights the school's commitment to innovation, leadership, and educational excellence through the integration of technology in the classroom. The school initially reached the designation in 2022.

Los Lunas Schools 3 Mill Levy Special Election

Los Lunas Schools is holding a 3 Mill Levy Special Election in 2024 to help fund technology for the district. Los Lunas Schools recently approved a resolution for the special election following the loss of the crucial 3 Mill Levy in November 2023 when voters had the opportunity to approve the 3 Mill Levy, which came with no tax increase.
