Public Records Request
By law, under the Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA), every person has the right to inspect public records of Los Lunas Schools (NMSA 1978, Sections 14-2-1 to 12).
This online portal will help you submit and monitor a public records request to Los Lunas Schools and simplify communication with the Los Lunas Schools' Records Custodian, Brian Baca.

Student records and transcripts are NOT public records. To obtain student records or transcripts, please contact your child's school.
A request must contain the name, address and telephone number of the requester. The request must describe the records sought in sufficient detail to enable the records custodian to identify and locate the requested records.
When Requesting, Be Specific…
- Specify Time Frames
- Specify Individual Names and Employment Titles
- Describe Subject Matter as Closely as Possible and
- Any other means of specifying information sought
Don't put personal information such as social security number, date of birth, or driver's license number in your records request.
If you don't know the name of the record, describe the information you believe is contained in it.
Be advised that the common practice of replying, forwarding or branching e-mails could result in an excessively broad and burdensome request due to the repetitive nature of such emails. Excessively broad and burdensome requests could lead to extended time frames for review, resulting in a delay of delivery.
Notice: All requests are public record and subject to outside parties per the Inspection of Public Records Act.
