About:
The All-Learner Days give five days for students to develop autonomy and ownership of their learning in new, innovative, and age-appropriate ways. Students do NOT attend school on these days.

Topics Include:
  • Basic iPad creativity (Kindergarten-6th grade)
  • Productivity skills (Kindergarten-6th grade)
  • Community-centered project-based learning (7th & 8th grade)
  • Global goals (7th & 8th grade)
  • Career exploration (9th grade-12th grade)

What are the dates?

September 6th, October 5th, November 2nd, February 1st, April 10th. Students do NOT attend school on these days.

What is the purpose of ALD?
The All-Learner days give five days for students to develop autonomy and ownership of their learning in new, innovative, and age-appropriate ways.

What will students be doing?
Students will be given a digital interactive journal in the app Pages and will complete the activities within these journals.

-K-6th: iPad Creativity/Productivity Skills
-7th-8th: Community project-based learning
-High School: Career Exploration Capstone

Where & when will students receive these journals?
The student’s teacher will send the journal to students via Airplay or in Canvas prior to the ALD day while students are in class.

On each ALD day, students will open the Pages app and complete that day’s activities in their journals.

Will students need the internet for these activities?
No. The apps required are all native apps installed on the iPad or MacBook and work offline.

Teachers will be in training all day, what if students or guardians need support?
A hotline for support will be available from 7:30 am-3:30 pm on each ALD day. ALD Support number 505-985-7523.

What happens if students do not participate in the ALD activities/projects?
It will not be counted against students' grades although it is strongly encouraged that they participate. The skills and projects connect to lessons being taught in class as students develop autonomy, and ownership of their learning.
