Bryan Smith is a 1981 graduate of Los Lunas High School, as is his wife
of 34 years. He has three daughters, all Los Lunas graduates, and five
wonderful grandchildren. (The motivation for his passion to serve on the
School Board)
Bryan served proudly in the United States Navy onboard
the nuclear ballistic missile submarine USS Alaska from 1982 to 1988. He
worked for the state on New Mexico as the west region supervisor for
the Department of Information Technology, and retired after 23 years of
service. He is currently employed at Sandia National Labs as a Principal
Technologist where he has been for six years.
Bryan has been very active in coaching the youth of our
community. He coached girls’ basketball for over 15 years and spent five
years as a Varsity Head Coach, including four years at Los Lunas High.
Mr. Smith enjoys spending as much time with his family as he
can. He enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, and motorcycle rides with his
wife on their Harley.

Sonya Corrao Moya was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts to Leo and
Dorie Corrao. Her family moved to New Mexico after serving two years in
the Peace Corps in Sierra Leon, West Africa. Her parents were adamant
about their children's involvement in community and leadership
organizations, such as 4-H and FFA, all the while encouraging academic
achievement. Sonya credits her parents for her strong work ethic and
dedication to community service.
Sonya met her husband, Jerry A. Moya, at the University of New Mexico
while they were pursuing their degrees. They have been married 31
years, and have one son, Jesse. Jesse was valedictorian of the first
graduating class of Valencia High School (2010), and is a graduate of
New Mexico State University.
Sonya holds a BA from the University of New Mexico in Communication,
with a double minor in Math and Business Administration. With her love
of recreation, her first career was as a store manager for Gardenswartz
Sportz, where she worked for more than 12 years. She began working for
Presbyterian Health Plan in 1995, and is currently Senior Account
Executive for Large and National Accounts for the health plan.
Sonya sits on the UNM-VC Development Board, and is an active
committee member for the annual UNM-VC Gala. She is an accomplished
Toastmaster (ATM), involved with United Way Women in Philanthropy, and
has not forgotten her roots by continuing to support our local 4-H and
FFA chapters.
Sonya is an avid runner, and has recently embraced weight training
& yoga. She enjoys downhill skiing in the winter, and boating and
camping in the summer. She and Jerry are avid outdoor enthusiasts. When
not riding on Jerry's Harley, they can be found walking their dogs or
bike riding on the ditch banks of Valencia and Peralta.

Brandon Campanella is a native of New Mexico and proud of
it. He was born in Roswell and graduated from Artesia High School in
1999. Brandon received his B.A. from Wayland Baptist University in 2003
with a double major in Theater and English. He later earned a Master
of Arts in elementary education from UNM in 2007. Brandon married his
wife, Thalia Campanella, a Los Lunas native, in 2011. They have two
daughters.
Brandon has a wide-ranging background from
working in the oil field to running his own theater company. Brandon
taught elementary school for eight years, with the last three at Los
Lunas Elementary. He has been serving as the youth and outreach pastor
at First Los Lunas for the last four years.
Mr. Campanella has fallen in love with Los Lunas
since moving here in 2011. He and his wife are active in the
community, establishing a free tutoring program through the Branch
Bistro and various other community outreach initiatives. Whenever they
do get some free time they enjoy all things outdoors and a good road
trip.

Mr. Otero is a lifelong resident of Valencia County and our great State of New Mexico. He attended classes in grades one through twelve within the Los Lunas School System beginning in first grade at Peralta Elementary until graduation with the Los Lunas High School Class of 1976.
He attended the University of New Mexico part time as a business management major while working full time for the New Mexico Health Department. Prior to his retirement of twenty-seven years of service at the end of 2003, Frank served fourteen years as a facilities operations manager.
Mr. Otero is married to his wife of forty-one years, Evelyn, and has two daughters, Victoria and Valerie, and five grandchildren, Serena, Phillip, Aiden, Gavin and Daylen. Frank is currently serving his eighth year on the board.

Milo W. Moody is a 1978 graduate of the Montabella School System in Edmore, Michigan. He served 36 years in the military, the last 28 years in the New Mexico Army National Guard, retiring in 2016 at the rank of Colonel. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Regents College and a Master’s degree of Military Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
He and his wife Gloria moved from Las Cruces to Valencia county in 2000 and since 2001 have lived in Los Lunas at their current residence. Their three children; Nathan, Milo and Mariah have all attended Los Lunas schools with the youngest graduating from Valencia High School in 2011. They have six grandchildren; all who reside outside of Valencia County.
Milo is active in serving his church; he and his wife co-lead the Guest Services Team at the Sagebrush Community Church, Los Lunas Campus. He leads a men’s Bible study group on Tuesday mornings at a local restaurant, and he and his wife host a couples’ mid-week Bible study in their home. Being retired allows his passionate pursuit of hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with the grandchildren and, most of all, spending time with his wife.
